A Note from Mrs. Larson

Hello Dunham Families,

Welcome back to the second half of the school year! I hope you all had a restful and joyful winter break. As we dive into 2025, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for our amazing Dunham community. Your kindness and support truly make our school such a special place. I was so blessed by all the thoughtful cards and gifts during the holidays—thank you! I thoroughly enjoyed my favorite pumpkin spice lattes and some truly amazing treats.

Over the break, we continued to make Dunham just a little fancier while keeping our farm-school charm intact. I’m excited to share some of the fantastic updates and projects we’ve completed so far this year:

Interactive Smartboards: Each classroom now features a state-of-the-art interactive smartboard—essentially a giant computer on the wall—enabling teachers to display lessons and engage students with hands-on technology.
Security Upgrades: Brand-new security fencing now surrounds the campus, ensuring student safety.
Intercom, Bell, and Safety System: We’ve fully installed a new system, but rest assured, our 6th graders will still ring the school bell each morning!
Infrastructure Repairs: Downspouts have been repaired, and new drainage has been added to the yard and behind classrooms to improve the campus environment.
Outdoor Enhancements: Five new outdoor tables and a new seating area for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade have been added.
New PE Shed: All our great PE equipment is now organized in one place.
Culinary Education: The Charlie Cart, our new mobile kitchen, is ready to bring hands-on culinary lessons to the classroom!

We’re so proud of these upgrades and remain committed to continuing improvements by writing more grants to keep our school exceptional.

I look forward to the rest of this school year and all the wonderful opportunities it will bring. Don’t forget to spread the word about our school tours happening in January and February (dates posted below). Let’s keep showing others what makes Dunham such a fantastic place to learn and grow!
