We had an incredible week at PV!
Our Preschool Outreach Program (POP) held a heartwarming promotion ceremony, and our youngest learners amazed us all with their singing and dancing. A huge shout-out to our amazing POP team—Mrs. Eileen Bell, Mrs. Rebecca LaGrange, Mrs. Dana Vitterito, and Mrs. Nicole Plunkse—along with their dedicated paras, for their hard work, passion, and commitment to our preschoolers. You made it a celebration to remember!
This week also brought creativity and imagination to life with our Grades 3–5 Author Visit. Students had the opportunity to take a plot, develop a story, and design their own solutions—true storytelling in action! Author Shan Shan Nie shared how impressed she was by our students' deep engagement and creativity. Thank you, Shan Shan, for inspiring our young writers!
Looking ahead, we’re excited to welcome Author Brittney Traudt June 9th, who will be reading and engaging with our K–2 students.
There’s even more to come:
Field Day is Tuesday, June 3, and we hope to conclude this fun-filled day with a whole-school picture captured by drone—a new tradition we’re excited to start!
On Thursday June 5th, our 5th graderswill head off on their senior trip to VMP, celebrating the end of their elementary journey.
On Friday, June 6th, they’ll take an important step forward with a visit to TEM, getting ready for their transition to middle school.
And don’t miss a very special event: The PTO will be hosting a celebration for Mrs. Carolyn Didden, honoring her retirement after 33 years of dedicated service to PV! Join us on Wednesday, June 11, from 4:00–5:00 PM in the cafeteria to recognize her incredible impact.
It’s a busy and joyful time as we head into our final days together. Let’s continue to lift each other up and make every moment count.
With gratitude,
Esther & Jenna

Author Visit
On Monday, Grade 3-5 students participated in an interactive storytelling workshop with a local children's author, who happens to be a PV parent no less! Thank you, Shan Shan, for leading the students through these storytelling and writing sessions where they had the opportunity to unlock their own creativity, take risks, collaborate with their peers, and make decisions that influence the path of their stories. If you still want to order you own copy Shan Shan's books, click here: The Cake Dilemma and The Belt of Chaos. Also, check out the link to The Vanishing Map channel where you can enjoy some free audio adventures.
