Great start to the school year!
Staff Spotlight - Miss Krohn
Hello families! My name is Miss Krohn. I’m originally from Schoharie, NY, which is a little smaller than Corinth, but overall very similar, which makes me feel right at home. I love being active and spending time in nature. I played soccer at Siena College and played on a semi-professional team over the summer.
I come from a family of six and both of my sisters also play Division 1 soccer at the University at Albany and the University at Buffalo. Being a teacher runs in my family, my mom and aunts are all teachers! I am super excited to start my career at Corinth Middle School! One goal I have for this year is to run a half marathon.
I chose to be a teacher because I love learning, building relationships, and helping others achieve their goals. I can’t wait to have a great year here at Corinth Middle School! Feel free to stop by anytime.

PBIS Update
The Corinth Middle School PBIS Team is hosting the first Fun Night of the year this Friday (9/23) for students in grades 5-8 Students are invited to attend from 5-7 PM for music, dancing, activities, games, and more. Pizza and refreshments will be available for purchase. The cost is $5! (Proceeds help to fund special CMS PBIS activities throughout the year.) We hope to see many of our middle school students joining us for socialization and fun!
Our Corinth Middle School PBIS program is off to a great start! We spent the first 2 days explicitly teaching our expected PBIS behaviors. Staff now uses reteaching and MIRs (Minor Incident Reports) to hold our students accountable for those behaviors. If you receive contact home from staff about an MIR, we appreciate the support at home with gentle reminders of our PBIS expectations. We had our first Tommie Ticket raffle drawing on 9/16 for gift cards to local establishments.
On September 30th, the PBIS team is hosting a Pins-n-Rims Tournament outside for interested students who have demonstrated safe, respectful and responsible behavior.
Students can sign up with the grade level team leader with 5 tickets if they have no MIRs or referrals. We look forward to celebrating our students' positive behavior!

An Update from our Nurse - Debbie O'Reilly
With the upcoming flu season approaching I would like to remind parents of the need to keep students home from school if they have symptoms of a cough, sore throat, runny nose, fever, stomachache, diarrhea and/or body aches. Due to the fact that these symptoms are similar to symptoms associated with COVID, please have your child take a rapid COVID test to determine your child is positive for COVID. If your child is positive for COVID, please report it to the county using the link below and follow CDC guidelines. Rapid COVID tests are available in the nurses office, as well as the middle school office.
https://www.saratogacountyny.gov/covid/covid-19-testing/report-positive-covid-self-tests/
If your child is negative for COVID, your child should stay home until fever-free for 24 hours and symptoms are improving. As always, if you have any questions, please contact the Debbie O'Reilly at 654-9005.
