Around the Division
On February 28, Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) successfully hosted its 3rd Annual Round Dance at Bev Facey Community High, bringing together First Nations, Métis and Inuit families, EIPS staff, friends and community members for an evening of culture and connection. Elder Wilson Bearhead led the community in teachings about the Round Dance. Attendees joined in laughter, music and tradition. This celebration of Indigenous culture and community spirit continues to strengthen relationships within EIPS and beyond.

The immersive and interactive experience allowed participants to engage meaningfully with the language while deepening their understanding of Métis traditions and worldviews.
