Lil Steamer Families --
Here's a quick Pops update and a WEEKEND PARENT CHALLENGE!
Long story short, Pops was admitted to ER this week and on Thursday was recovering well. While he was working with the physical therapy team to get some steps in, I went ahead and started playing Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. Watching him scoot around with his walker as Jimi Jamison belted the lyrics was one of the most hilarious things I've seen in my lifetime... core memory unlocked! He was a bit embarrassed, but was chuckling at me while calling me a colorful name :)
WEEKEND PARENT CHALLENGE:
Embarass your children this weekend. That's it; that's the challenge. Say something loudly in a store, photobomb an activity, act goofy in front of their friends, or dress up silly and go out in public. I promise you that YOU will laugh and you will have taught your kiddos a very important lesson: that you're willing to embarass them at any time and any place. It's in their best interests to listen to their parents :)
Feel free to tag me on social media with any stories of you completing the challenge.
Have a great Homecoming weekend!

Enjoy the last of the summer weather this weekend, the forecast looks like we'll finally enjoy more fall like temperatures starting next week. 🍁🍂

We are role models for our children. Children learn about feelings and how to express them by watching others. Show your child how you are feeling about different situations and how you deal with those feelings. Encourage your child with praise. Praise your child when they talk about their feelings or express them in an appropriate way.
