The students had a blast on "The Floor is Lava" day! They walked into class to find a cool volcano and pretend lava everywhere. They had to be careful not to touch the "hot lava" as they found their seats.
Many of the students thought the best part of the day was when we made the volcanoes erupt! We used special ingredients to make them bubble and explode. We also went on a virtual trip to see different volcanoes around the world, which was super interesting.
Everyone had so much fun learning and laughing together. "The Floor is Lava" day mixed learning and fun perfectly!

As we wrap up this year, I celebrate the remarkable progress our students have made and eagerly anticipate continuing this holistic and fun approach to education in the future, preparing our young learners for lifelong success. Since the beginning of the year, our kindergarten students have made significant strides in writing, math, and reading. Throughout the school year, our kindergarten program seamlessly integrated social skills into everyday learning, maintaining a focus on academic growth. Through structured play, group projects, and guided interactions, our young learners have had ample opportunities to practice key skills like sharing, teamwork, empathy, and communication. Collaborative games and group tasks have encouraged kids to negotiate roles, take turns, and resolve conflicts, fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Additionally, social stories and role-playing have helped students navigate different social scenarios and understand their classmates' perspectives. This approach has yielded fantastic academic results; by nurturing social skills, students are more engaged in collaborative learning and classroom discussions, enhancing their overall educational experience. Our curriculum has skillfully integrated these social skills into lessons on literacy, numeracy, and other subjects, ensuring that children reach academic milestones while developing crucial interpersonal abilities. Observations and assessments indicate that students with strong social skills tend to perform better academically and exhibit more enthusiasm and confidence in their learning activities.

Spring is Blooming
In the elementary after-school program, students crafted an exhibit of spring flowers and butterflies using a combination of tissue paper and laminate. The delicate roses were created by dipping paper toweling into watercolor paints, creating a vivid and lifelike effect. Amidst their creative endeavors, the students engaged in a lively game of Twister, filling the room with giggles and excitement.
