Greetings Phalen Virtual Leadership Academy Families,

Happy Friday! Happy Fall Break! We hope you are enjoying a happy, healthy and safe Fall Break!

It was wonderful to connect with you for Parent Teacher Conferences. Connecting is critical for us on many levels to support the overall success of your scholar. If for some reason you were unable to schedule a conference or missed you scheduled time, I would like to encourage you to please connect with your scholars homeroom teacher, as we will send communication to all who were unscheduled or no shows as we desire to connect.

Next week is a full 5-day week and we look forward to seeing your scholar in class. on Monday, October 14, 2024

Enrollment registration is still open for the 2024-2025 Academic School Year. Please share your success at PLA Virtual with friends, family, neighbors and organizations, as we may be a great school choice for them as well. Our registration link is below. We appreciate all the referrals that have been shared with us by YOU. They are proud to give your name as the person who referred them, and we also sing your praises in return as we appreciate all of our families.

We look forward to seeing your scholar(s) on Monday, October 14, 2024 for week 10 of our school year! Our Grades 6-12 scholars begin their school day at 8:00am and our Grades K-5 scholars begin at 8:30am.

A NOTE ON MENTAL HEALTH:

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. It affects how we think, feel, and act as we cope with life. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood and aging. . Please communicate with your students on how they are thinking and feeling. Please seek help if you feel your student is struggling with mental health.

Phalen Virtual Leadership Academy (PLA Virtual) is a tuition-free online learning academy for Indiana families in grades K-12. We are backed by an accredited university to help empower our scholars and families to accelerate academic success with high-quality curriculum taught in their own environment. We use technology to provide interactive and rigorous online classes that allow our scholars to learn and thrive. Our scholars excel not just in academics, but also socially and emotionally with a blend of online coursework and options to engage in sports and enrichment at a local PLA campus.
