Celebrating Our Recent Achievements and Community Partnership
Dear CCPS Families,
I wanted to share some wonderful highlights over the past few weeks.
On October 15, we celebrated the success of our Unified Tennis Tournament, with all five high schools participating. It was a fantastic event showcasing our students' talent, teamwork, and spirit. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success!
On October 16, our schools participated in Unity Day by wearing orange, symbolizing unity and support for those affected by bullying. The day included various activities and discussions to foster understanding, compassion, and respect among peers.
I also want to honor our Community Partner of the Month, Hertrich Family Automotive. Their commitment to education is evident as they join us in celebrating our Teachers of the Year across eight counties on Maryland's Eastern Shore. They are generously surprising our outstanding educators with a yearlong lease of one of their vehicles as a token of appreciation for their incredible work, uplifting and enriching our communities.
Lastly, I am pleased to share that the Perryville High School Field House project is progressing well and is expected to be completed within the next few months. We look forward to unveiling this new facility, which will enhance our students' athletic and extracurricular experiences.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement in our schools. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of our students and our community.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Lawson, Ed.D.
