Mr. Curt Bradshaw was approved at the Monday, November 21st SOESC board meeting to serve in the capacity of Assistant Superintendent of Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (SOESC) Mr. Bradshaw will begin his new assignment on January 1, 2023.

Mr. Richard Peck was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award because of his service as a member of the SOESC governing board for 20 years or more.

Ms. Rogina Conroy was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award because of her demonstrated service to our educational service center and public education.

Ruth Brindle of the Clinton County Port Authority was recognized as a leader in the Clinton County Workforce Collaborative Steering Committee through the Clinton County Business Advisory Council. Tammy Keller of OhioMeansJobs-Clinton County and Dessie Rogers of the Wilmington/Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, also recognized this morning, could not attend the program.

State Support Team (SST) Consultant

I am a long time resident of Hillsboro where I live with my husband Reuben. We have two great kids, Corey and Jessy, and a cute wiener dog named BJ. I have been in education for over 25 years, serving as an Intervention Specialist prior to becoming a SST Consultant for Region 14. It has been exciting learning so much in my new role. I've especially enjoyed learning about English Learners services and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) which gives all students an equal opportunity to succeed.

State Support Team (SST) Consultant

My name is Monica Music. This is my first year as a SST Consultant and my 18th year in education. Throughout my career I have served as a middle school intervention specialist, a third grade reading teacher, and an elementary principal. In my current role, I am part of the SST Region 14 PBIS Team. I also serve as a School Improvement Consultant as well as an OLi4 Coach for building administrators throughout the region. It is an honor to be a part of such an amazing team and I am excited to continue working with so many great educators and administrators in the region.

SST 14 is seeking a high-qualified individual to join their team and serve as a general SST Consultant. SST 14 serves school districts in Adams, Brown, Clinton, Fayette, and Highland Counties.

SOESC provides school districts and prospective substitute teachers the opportunity and convenience of working with one contact person and/or district for all substitute teaching needs and questions. The Southern Ohio ESC is dedicated to helping districts maintain a pool of qualified substitute teachers to provide the best education possible for their students. Our goal is to help guide you in following the Ohio Department of Education procedures for our districts' accountability and performance.

Mr. Lane represents Subdistrict 1, Clinton Massie Local Schools, and has served as a Southern Ohio ESC Governing Board Member for 14 years. Mr. Lane was prompted to join the SOESC Governing Board because he has a continuing strong interest in public education.

Mr. Lane is a retired educator who enjoys yard work, reading western history, and watching college basketball. A specific area of growth that Mr. Lane would like to see at SOESC would be more revenue-producing high-value educational programming. Mr. Lane believes education is different today than when he was in school because of more state and federal regulation, less quality parenting, and higher quality technical education.
