Make-up Day Adjustment

Per WCPSS, the weather make-up day scheduled for November 1 has been rescheduled for October 31. Students will attend school on Thursday, October 31. We will have a teacher workday on Friday, November 1 (no school for students).


As a reminder, Monday, September 30, and Wednesday, October 9, are also teacher workdays (no school for students).

Math EOG Scores

For 7th and 8th grade students, we have received Individual Student Reports with math EOG scores from Spring 2019. Please look for these to come home on Monday. If your student was enrolled in another middle school last year, we will receive (and send home) the report at a later date.


We are still awaiting reports for our 6th grade students and will distribute them as soon as possible.

iPAD Update

We began iPad distribution last week (a little ahead of schedule). Students in 8th grade and on two of three 6th grade teams who had completed all requirements received their devices. The remaining 6th grade team and 7th grade students will receive theirs early this week.


Please make sure you have completed the registration form, paid the usage fee, and cleared any outstanding fines. A huge thanks to Ms. Biddlecome for managing this process.

Club Information

CMMS Book Club- Meets on Tuesdays beginning September 17th in room 1222, Ms. Circle’s room

Introduction to American Sign Language- Meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 2:30-3:30 in room 2708, Ms. Pierce’s room

Lighthouse- Applications are available in the student service center and can be delivered to your child’s My Learning teacher.

National Jr. Beta Club- Meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month from 3-4 PM, beginning on September 23rd in room 1701, Ms. Pollen’s room.

Beginning Orchestra Club-Meets every Tuesday beginning on September 24th from 2:30-4:30 PM in the Strings/Mindfulness Room.

Junior Librarian and Tech Team- Please email Ms. Biddlecome, mbiddlecome@wcpss.net to get your child involved with this club. Club Shirt order forms are available in the student service center.

Cross-Country Running Club- Meets on Mondays from 2:45-3:45 in in Ms. Sharpe’s room, beginning on October 14th.

Textiles and Fashion Club- Meets on Tuesdays from 2:45-3:45, beginning on September 17th in room 2709, Ms. Stewart-Hines’ room.

Garden Club- Will begin after winter break.

Activity Bus

The activity bus runs Monday - Thursday. The activity bus arrives at 5:00 and will depart the Carroll campus at 5:15.


Activity bus stops are:

  • Green Road Center
  • Falls of Neuse Road and Falls Village
  • Sanderson High School
  • Celebration at Six Forks
