The Resilient Cardinal
Cardinal Care Mental Health Supports
December 2019
Because You Matter
Instagram might have you thinking that the only way to practice self-care is to take a photo-shoot worthy bubble bath or do impossible yoga poses. This is definitely not the case! In terms of self-care, you first need to get rid of the idea that it needs to be time consuming or expensive. Self-care can be as simple as doing intentional little things that make you smile, like hugging your kids! Some basic self-care ideas to keep in mind this winter include getting plenty of sleep, drinking water, eating healthy meals, spending time with friends and family, and writing down 3 things you are grateful for every day. I hope you all take the time to take care of yourselves, because you matter!
