School Newsletter Term 3, Week 3
Friday 9th August 2024
Kia ora Koutou,
First and foremost, we want to congratulate our Year 5 and Year 6 Mathex teams for their outstanding performance in recent competitions. Their dedication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills were on full display, and we are proud of their achievements. The hours of practice and determination have truly paid off, and we look forward to seeing how these young mathematicians continue to excel in the future.
In addition to our Mathex success, we would like to extend our best wishes to the Dance NZ teams. Our students have been working tirelessly, perfecting their routines and embracing the spirit of dance with enthusiasm and passion. As they prepare to take the stage, we know they will represent our school with grace and excellence. Best of luck to all our dancers – your hard work and dedication will undoubtedly shine through!
Meanwhile, our teachers are diligently completing data assessments in preparation for the upcoming three-way conferences. These assessments provide valuable insights into each student’s progress, helping to tailor learning experiences to individual needs. The conferences are an important opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to come together and discuss achievements, challenges, and goals for the remainder of the year. We encourage all parents to participate actively in these discussions to support their child’s educational journey.
Finally, we want to acknowledge the positive start to the term by all students. From safe cycling sessions to the Cosmodome visit and the Manawatu cricket program, the enthusiasm and engagement have been remarkable. Let’s continue to build on this momentum as we move forward.
Nga mihi,
