Parent Information
Dear Parents and Students:
Please know that this will be my last Parent Newsletter for this school year. As you are aware, I am retiring from Jenkins High School this summer. I want to thank each of you for your continued support over the years. It seems like yesterday that I entered Jenkins High School in 2007 as an Assistant Principal. My time at Jenkins has been extremely rewarding. The relationships and bonds that have been built will remain with me forever. I am so proud of our students and teachers and the accomplishments made over the years. The building of a new Jenkins High School was bittersweet as we saw the old building come down but an amazing experience to go through together! I look forward to visiting and hearing all about the great things going on at Jenkins High School.
Don't forget this students - "Always be in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing." You can't go wrong if you follow this simple rule.
I will miss you and will think of you often! Take care! Continue to do amazing things!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Handy, Principal

HVJ celebrates GMAS bash!
Thank you to Ms. Duff and her team for organizing and planning the GMAS bash. Thank you so much to the faculty and staff who donated the food and supplies for the event!
SCCPSS Uniform Requirements - Daily Checks in 1st block! No hats, ski masks, or hoods should be worn in the building! No slides, soccer shoes, or shoes without backs allowed at school!
Jenkins High School - Red or White collared shirt and Black or Khaki pants.
Please be mindful of the skirt length. Should not be more than 3 inches above the knee.
For safety reasons, hoods are NOT allowed to be worn in the building!
Requiring students to remove their hoods helps to deter any potential issues related to anonymity. Hooded clothing can make it harder to identify students, which can be problematic in the context of security and maintaining a respectful and accountable school community.
Thank you for your dedication to your child's education and our school community. Your support in upholding our school uniform policy, even as the weather cools down, is greatly appreciated.

French III Honors Class
French 3 Honors completes their final presentation called Masterclass. For the oral presentation, they had to research the life of a famous French speaker and given an autobiographical speech as the person. Students delivered their speeches in French before having to perform a demonstration of skill linked to that person. This year proved to be one of the best set of Masterclass presentations with a famous French chemist, the chef who invented Crepes Suzettes, a Haitian artist, a famous French author, and Marie Antoinette’s preferred portraitist. The demonstrations included a chemistry experiment, a food tasting, an artist walkthrough, and a re-telling of a famous French novel.
