PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Trojan Families,
It was another excellent Trojan week at Northwestern—here’s a quick recap below!
Prom Video (click image)
Thank you Prom Committee
To My Amazing Coworker/Prom Chair Ms. Kelly Chavis and Her Incredible Committee,
“Y’ALL DID THAT”! Your committee took our prom to a level that hasn’t been seen before. It was truly something special. The effort, vision, energy, and tireless work was seen throughout the gym. I want to sincerely thank you and your committee for creating such a magical and fun night.
To the “25” and above Faculty and Staff,(if you were there last night, then you know who I’m talking to. )
Dancing with you guys on the floor last night was an absolute joy. Those moments are exactly why I love being at Northwestern High School. I went the extra mile—extra physical therapy, hot/cold pads, and lots of rest—just to make sure I could fully be in those moments with you. And it was so worth it! So, if you see me moving a little slow, blame it on the DJ!
I love you guys!💜💛💜

"One of the best--hardest working kids around!" -Coach Hunt
Robert is also a recipient of the SC Teacher Fellows!
Each year, up to 200 high school seniors are selected for the Teaching Fellows program based on academic excellence, community service, and a commitment to teaching in South Carolina. After a competitive selection process, Fellows receive up to $24,000 in scholarships and commit to teaching in the state for each year they receive funding.
Thank you to Ms. Moody-Byers (Assistant Principal) and the Kappa Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi for supporting our students in achieving the South Carolina and North Carolina Black History Quiz Bowl Championship! Our students made a commitment over Spring Break to compete in the North Carolina Championship—and they showed up and showed out!
