That all of our students, grades Pre-K-6, engage in lessons with their peers about social-emotional wellbeing? One of the programs that we use at BK is Zones of Regulation.

"Feelings are complicated. They come in different sizes, intensities, and levels of energy that are unique within our brains and bodies. To make them easier to talk about, think about, and regulate, The Zones of Regulation organizes our feelings, states of alertness, and energy levels into four colored Zones – Blue, Green, Yellow, and Red. The simple, common language and visual structure of The Zones of Regulation helps make the complex skill of regulation more concrete for learners and those who support them. We learn to regulate our Zones to meet our goals and task demands, as well as support our overall well-being."

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is now open! All current families should have received an email notification with instructions for re-registration. If you haven’t seen it, please check your inbox (and junk folder) or visit our website for detailed registration information: Registration Process Information.

We encourage you to complete your registration early, as several schools in our division are nearing or already at capacity. Securing your spot now ensures a smooth transition into the upcoming school year.

On Saturday March 1st, from 6 to 9pm, Friends of BK will be hosting a private ski night at Sunridge in partnership with Friends of Holy Family, J.J. Nearing & Neil M Ross. This is a great opportunity for families to connect with friends at other schools in our communities and have a fun family night!

Tickets are limited and will be $30 each.

- Ticket price will include access to instructors, rentals, and use of the hill (tubing or ski hill) for the evening from 6 to 9pm. Terrain Park NOT included.

Tickets will be on a first come first serve basis and NO REFUNDS will be issued. Physical tickets will go home with students a week before the event and must be brought to the hill to exchange for lift passes. Any additional proceeds will go directly to FOBK & School Council initiatives.

A hot food concession will be available to families for the evening. The concession items are not included in the ticket cost; all items will be subject to Sunridge pricing.
