"Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness
and caring to change a person's life"

Students will be encouraged to define being caring by being empathic, compassionate, and respectful. As part of our ongoing commitment to the safety and security of our school community, a new policy regarding our entry procedures is now in effect. All visitors, including parents and guardians, will be required to show a photo ID to the camera at the front door before being granted entry into the vestibule.
Procedure For Entry
- Upon arrival at the front door: Please approach the front door as usual.
- Interacting with the intercom: A staff member will activate the intercom and welcome you to Franklin Academy. In this interaction, you will be kindly requested to hold up your Driver’s License ID, Passport, or any other photo ID in front of the camera.
- Verification process: This step is crucial for our security measures. The staff member will verify your identity before granting entry to the vestibule.
Visitors must not hold the door open for others behind them. Please do not keep the doors open for any other visitor.
We understand that this may represent a slight adjustment to our previous procedures, but please be assured that this change is implemented with the utmost consideration for the safety and well-being of all students, staff, and visitors.
Your cooperation and understanding are highly valued, as these measures contribute significantly to maintaining a secure and nurturing learning environment. If you have any questions or concerns about this update, feel free to reach out to our front-office staff, who will be happy to assist you.
We thank you for your continued partnership in prioritizing the safety of our Franklin Academy community.
Please join National Junior Honor Society in spreading holiday joy through our Annual Toy Drive! On Monday December 4th, 2023, until Tuesday December 12th, 2023, students are invited to bring a new, unwrapped toys to donate to our Toy Drive. We are partnering with A Place in Time and The Gathering, to make a difference in our community. Students who donate a brand new unwrapped toy are invited to 'dress-down' appropriately on Friday December 15th, 2023. Let's make this holiday season brighter for everyone.
Student Health
Our school policy expressly prohibits the administration of fever-reducing medications to mask symptoms, as well as the attendance of school by students with elevated temperatures.
To reiterate, if your child wakes up with a fever exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit, it is not acceptable to administer Tylenol or any other fever-reducing medication to send them to school. Equally important, sending them to school in such a condition is a direct violation of our policy.
This policy is in place to safeguard the well-being of all students and staff, and non-compliance puts the health of our entire school community at risk.
Your cooperation in following this policy is not only expected but is crucial for the collective health and safety of our school community.
