Message From The Principal

Good evening, Tiger family

This weekend, history was made at the UIL 5A State Wrestling Championships held at the Berry Center in Cy-Fair, Texas. Genevieve Bellino entered her final match against last year's state champion and defeated her, winning the outright title. WE HAVE A STATE CHAMPION at Mary Carroll High School! We congratulate Genevieve, her coaches, and all of her supporters for this once-in-a-lifetime historic achievement.

On the boys' side, we also made history with Roman Nino taking second place overall in Class 5A in the 190 lb division. This marks the highest-ever finish by a male wrestler in school history. Congratulations Roman!

The success of our Tigers is only possible when we all pull in the same direction. With passionate individuals leading our programs and organizations, combined with the support of our school and community, the sky is the limit. This week's unprecedented success is a testament to the incredible things happening at Mary Carroll High School. It's definitely a great time to be a Tiger!

🎓🚀 Attention Senior Parents: Ensuring Your Student is CCMR Ready! 🎓🚀

Parents & Guardians,

We are committed to ensuring 100% of our seniors graduate College, Career, or Military Ready (CCMR), and we need your support in this process! In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to parents of students who are not yet CCMR complete to provide details about new programs and opportunities designed to help them meet this important designation. Our goal is to ensure every senior has a clear path to success after graduation—whether that means 🎓 college enrollment, career certifications, or 🇺🇸 military enlistment.

What You Can Expect:

Direct communication if your student is not yet CCMR complete.
Details on upcoming programs and interventions to support their readiness.
Guidance on how you can help your student stay on track.

More information will be shared soon with specific families. Together, we can ensure every senior is prepared for their next step!

🚫 Campus Bathroom Policies – Keeping Our School Safe & Respectful

Parents, we need your support in reinforcing our campus expectations for bathroom use. Due to ongoing concerns with inappropriate behaviors, we have strictly enforced bathroom policies to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all students. E-Pass Required – Students must have an approved e-pass from their teacher to access the restroom.

No Passes from Subs – Substitute teachers are not permitted to issue bathroom passes.
10/10 Rule – No restroom passes will be issued during the first 10 minutes or last 10 minutes of class.

Please speak with your student about making responsible choices—thank you for your support!

📢 Important Attendance & Tardy Policy Updates 📢

We need your support to ensure students are in class where they belong. To address excessive tardies, absenteeism, and skipping classes, we have implemented a new referral system to hold students accountable for their attendance that will include discipline consequences.

What This Means for Students:

Excessive tardies and unexcused absences will result in disciplinary consequences.
Skipping class will be addressed with escalating consequences.
Students who miss too many days will be denied credit for their courses.

How You Can Help:

Submit doctor’s notes or parent notes promptly to excuse absences
Check your student’s attendance daily using the Home Access Center (HAC).
Reach out for support – Mrs. Ortiz, our Parent Liaison, is available to assist

❄️ Dress Code Reminder: 🧣

A reminder to stay in dress code and know that we are enforcing the dress code. If a student is out of dress code, they will be sent to ISS until a change of clothes can be provided.

Common Violations to Avoid:

No crop tops or midriff-baring shirts (jackets can’t be used to cover them).
No BLANKETS, pajama pants, or slippers.
Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be no more than a dollar bill’s length above the knee.

Parents, did you know that our teachers provide tutoring sduring Tiger Time to help students succeed? This is an incredible opportunity for your child to get the support they need to improve their grades.

If your student has failing grades, there’s no excuse for them not to attend these sessions. Our teachers are here to help, and Tiger Time is the perfect chance to ask questions, get extra practice, and stay on track academically.
