From the Principal's Desk
Dear Father Doyle Families,
Our Annual Walk-a-thon will kick off next week starting on Tuesday with our Pre-kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes. Grades 4-8 will walk on Wednesday, and we will wrap up the festivities on Thursday with our Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes. Please note, students should plan to wear gym uniforms on their designated Walk-a-thon days.
As we look ahead to these fun-filled days, we are incredibly grateful and humbled by the generosity of our families and school community - to date our Walk-a-thon has raised over $12,000, far surpassing our $7,000 initial goal. All proceeds will benefit student needs including textbooks, academic programs, and classroom furniture.
We're also looking forward to our 4-Year Strategic Planning Kick-Off Event this Tuesday, October 19th at 7pm. With so many wonderful things happening at Doyle, it's an exciting time to be shaping the future of our school. Finally, please note that, in accordance with our 2021-2022 Academic Calendar, there is no school this Monday, October 18th due to a previously scheduled Diocesan professional day.
Notice from Cozy Caterers - Increase in Lunch Prices
The school was notified by our lunch provider - Cozy Caterers - that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are increasing the cost of lunch by $1.00. Please see the communication from Cozy Caterers here for more information. This change will go into effect for the November lunch menu. We appreciate your understanding
Sign Language Club
Please note that there will be no Sign Language Club on Wednesday, October 20th. The club will resume meetings the following week. Thank you!
Used Uniform Collection and Distribution
Are you looking for gently used uniforms for your child(ren)? We have a small amount of used uniforms available for families having difficulty acquiring uniforms. If you are interested in receving used uniforms, please complete the Google Form here: https://bit.ly/FJVDUsedUniforms. The school will contact you if we have uniforms available in your size. Please note that uniforms will be distributed based upon the order in which the form was submitted.
Do you have gently used uniforms you would be willing to donate to the school? Mrs. Jarvis is still accepting gently used uniforms including polos, pants/shorts, gym shirts, and all black shoes. You can drop off any uniform supplies in the main office. Please email Mrs. Jarvis with any questions. Your donations go directly to those students unable to procure uniforms. Thank you for your support!

Reduce Waste and Help our School!
Do you have used ink cartridges at home? Father Doyle School is partnering with Planet Green Recycling to recycle use ink cartridges. The best part? It's entirely hassle free - all you have to do is drop your ink used ink cartridges off in the main office. We'll package and ship them to Planet Green, who ensures cartridges are properly recycled. Ultimately, the program helps save the environment and supports the school! Find out more here.
Participate in the FJVD Certificate Program!
This program is a great way to reduce the cost of your tuition while supporting FJVDl!
The Process:
- The school purchases shopping cards from all of your favorite stores
- You purchase the cards from the school, paying face value and spending the same dollars you would have paid to the stores directly
- The school earns a percentage discount offered by participating stores.
For each $50.00 you spend, you get a stamp on your Tuition Discount Card. Fill the entire card and redeem it for a $50.00 check or $75.00 tuition reduction.
Cards currently available include:
Stop & Shop, Applebee's, Barnes & Noble, Dave's, Dunkin Donuts, Panera, Wal-Mart and more!
Stop by the school Monday-Friday 7:45am-8:15am, the Rectory Monday-Friday 1:45-2:15pm, or in the Parish Center after the 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30am Sunday Masses to purchase your gift cards!

Bottle Cap Drive
We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This provides new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation.
All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.
