1 to 1 Chromebook Redistribution Begins on Monday During Spartan Time
Chromebook redistribution will begin on Monday with our 8th grade team. Ms. Harmon will send out the schedule for homeroom teachers to bring their classes to the media center on Monday morning during Spartan Time.
School Leadership Team Meeting on Monday, January 7
We will have our January School Leadership Team meeting on Monday, January 7th a 5:00 pm in our school media center. Please join our teachers, staff and parents as we discuss our progress towards our school improvement goals and ways that we can support our Sedgefield campus. Refreshments will be served.
Midyear PDP Update & Assessment Time
Early Release Professional Development Training on Wednesday, January 9
Wednesday, January 9th is an early release professional development day for all CMS Schools. Our campus will close at 1:15pm so that our faculty can participate in training. All after school activities, including athletic practices are cancelled for Wednesday, January 9th. The link for our modified schedule is located below.

Professional Development & Leadership Opportunity on Wednesday 1/16/19
Clubs will resume on Friday, January 11
We will continue our weekly club sessions on Friday, January 11th. The last day for 1st semester clubs is January 18th. Afterwards, we will add several new clubs and provide scholars with opportunities to change their clubs for the second semester. Second semester clubs will begin on Friday, February 8th.
SMS Weekly Sports Update 01/07-01/11
Our girls and boys basketball teams resume their seasons next week with a home game versus Piedmont Middle on Monday and an away game versus Wilson Middle on Thursday. The boy’s games begin at 5:00pm and the girl’s games begin approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the boy’s games. Please come out and support our scholar athletes as they demonstrate sportsmanship and athletic excellence on the court this week.
