Skyview Middle School 6th Graders and Families!
Hello! We are excited to welcome you to Skyview Middle School! Our PTSA is working hard to find fun and creative ways of connecting Skyview kids and families with the school and our community. The transition from elementary school into middle school is a big change for everyone. Parent/Guardian support in middle school is different than in elementary school and as a parent, traditional elementary school volunteer opportunities may not be available, but you can still be involved and make a huge impact! While it may look different, there are many ways to help at Skyview and one of those is getting involved with PTSA.
Ways to Help:
- JOIN PTSA by clicking here. It's $15 for a single PTSA membership, and $27 for a double. Joining PTSA just shows your support for kids and Skyview, it does not sign you up to do anything. We would definitely love your volunteer hours though if you are interested!
- Sponsor a Staff Member's PTSA membership using the same link above.
- Read PTSA Newsletters, they will come in your email (check your junk) and they are also on our webpage, under Newsletters.
- Participate in Partnerships by linking your Fred Meyer Rewards account to Skyview MS PTSA by visiting our Partnerships page.
- PTSA does NOT hold any fundraisers through sales or drives, we only ask for monetary support through one Pass the Hat annual donation. All funds go directly back into the events/activities/programs/grants that embrace Skyview PTSA's Mission & Goals. Please consider donating to our Pass the Hat donation.

Why Help:
- PTSA is completely funded by generous donations, we do not sell anything
- PTSA gives back to the school directly through gift to school grants for our students and staff - check out what's been funded in the past
- PTSA supports events like Eagle Day (think field day for middle school), Spelling Bee, Staff Appreciation, Multicultural Night, the 8th Grade Party, and the Reflections Art Program to list a few
Upcoming Events:
- August 24 - Food Pantry Food Drive at Canyon Park QFC, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- August 25 - Community Serve Day from 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. on the Skyview campus
- August 28 - 6th Grade and Newly Enrolled Students Parent/Guardian Info Night & PTSA Sponsored Ice Cream Social, 6:00 p.m. for Spanish speaking families, and 6:30 for all families - Meet in the gym - hope to see you there!
- September 2 - No School, Labor Day
- September 3 - WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) Day: 6th grade students and WEB leaders only, 8:00 a.m. - 2:35 p.m.
- September 4 - First day of classes for all students: 8:00 a.m. - 2:35 p.m.
- September 11 - Wednesday Early Dismissal Begins, Dismiss at 1:05 p.m.
- September 17 - School Picture Day
- September 18 - First Food Pantry Delivery of the Year
- September 25 - Open House/Curriculum Night, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. on campus
