March 19th Remote Learning Day Information:
Scheduling Process Information:
Students in grades 9-11 received scheduling materials for next school year (including their HS transcript and a brightly colored course selection sheet with offerings for next school year based on the students' grade level) during Warrior Up bell Wednesday, February 21. We allow a full two weeks for students to get course recommendations from teachers during class time, to talk with parents, and to ask teachers and guidance any questions they may have. We want students to take their time, make thoughtful and deliberate choices based on their interests and future plans, and to not make hasty or last minute choices. As a reminder, we do not make schedule changes in the summer/fall once the master schedule is set unless a student has a conflict or needs a required class for graduation.
We highly encourage students and parents to work together on requesting courses on the student's course selection sheet. Please check out the pertinent links on this attached document (students also received this via email on Wednesday) such as the Course Registration Book, Career Cluster Cards, GHS graduation requirements, and the scheduling slide show and videos. There is also a complete timeline of scheduling events included on this document. Please let guidance know if you have any questions!
