Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families,
Our PTA Dance-a-Thon on October 31st is a week away and we are so excited to not only have fun but to raise money that supports our school! Students are encouraged to wear their Cherrydale shirts provided by the PTA this year to celebrate our Dance-a-Thon. If your student is considering wearing a costume instead of their spirit gear, we ask that they follow a few guidelines.
- No masks, blood, or gore
- No props, fake weapons, or extra large costumes
- Costumes should not interfere with sitting at a desk, using the restroom, or any other regular school activities.
I want to take a moment to give a big thank you to our amazing PTA for hosting this fun event! If you’d like to volunteer or get involved with the fantastic activities our PTA provides, please see the information below.

If your student needs a Make-Up Picture, please send them to school “Camera Ready” and make sure they bring their SMILE!
Make-Up pictures may be taken for 3 reasons:
1. Your student missed the previous school picture day(s)
2. You want to purchase school pictures, but would prefer a new pose
3. You want a different picture in the yearbook (if applicable)
It's completely FREE to have your child photographed again. After Picture Day you'll receive an email link to see your child's new pictures, as well as their previous pictures.

Please consider joining the Cherrydale PTA. The best part about the PTA is that you can be as involved as much or as little as you'd like or can be! We have so many volunteer opportunities throughout the year, it's easy to get involved!
Throughout the year, PTA directly supports teachers by:
- Staff Reimbursements, Staff Meals/Snacks and funding Field Trips
Other things PTA plays a key role in are:

To get clearance so you can help with upcoming PTA events (or ANY Cherrydale events), click Volunteer at Cherrydale. Once you are cleared you can let the PTA know of your interest and availability. You MUST be a CLEARED volunteer to help with any events or to participate in anything on the Cherrydale Campus.

As of this year, all Cherrydale students will have the opportunity to have one breakfast and one lunch for free every day! If a student chooses a second entrée, it will be charged to student’s account. In the next few weeks, every family will be encouraged to complete a Free and Reduced Meal application, as this data is used to potentially keep this program going for next year!
