SAHS "Weekly Update" - 9/30/24
"S.W.A.R.M. Together!"
This Week Around SAHS
Yellow Jacket Community,
We hope everyone stayed safe during the weather event last week. Our hearts go out to the families and communities impacted by Helene. Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you or someone you know was impacted and needs assistance.
We are only two weeks from the conclusion of the first quarter of the school year. We encourage all students to take advantage of all learning opportunities available, review their grades in HAC, and follow along with coursework in class and on Schoology. As always, our entire SAHS staff is available to support. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
We want to give a big shout-out to the entire cast and crew of "Anastasia: The Musical!" Despite their schedule being interrupted, the show went on to rave reviews! We encourage our community to check out all remaining SJCCA events highlighted in the calendar below to see our incredible artists and performers in action!
Finally, there are two important community events on the horizon. Tonight, our PTO will meet at 5:30pm in the SAHS Media Center. Next Monday, 10/7, our SAC will meet at 4:45pm in the SAHS Media Center. Both meetings will have a representative from the SJCSD Executive Cabinet on hand to discuss the two November ballot initiatives in St. Johns County. All members of the SAHS community are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Together,
Travis Brown - Principal - St. Augustine High School
Congratulations to the Ancient City Regiment for their Top 10 placement at the FFCC Tocoi Creek Marching Band Competition this past weekend. Be sure to go check them out at their next competition performance on Saturday, October 19th at Orange Park High School!
Congratulations to the cast and crew of "Anastasia: The Musical" for an incredible run of shows!
Shout-out to these amazing JROTC cadets for volunteering to assist clean-up efforts at Anastasia Baptist Church this weekend! A great example of "S.W.A.R.M.ing Together!" with our community!
