Let's Raise Another Ton!
The 18th Annual Lester Park March Food Drive will run from March 3-28 at our school. We will be collecting non-perishable food for the Union Gospel Mission in Duluth. Food items expired up to 1 year are now accepted.
Please note that we can no longer accept cash donations. We can only accept non-perishable food.
All classes will have a popsicle celebration provided by the Lester Park School Foundation to show our appreciation of their efforts. Additionally, the top 3 classes with the most weight of food will receive a special celebration!
Last year we collected 2,511 pounds (1.26 tons) of food! The Union Gospel Mission was so grateful!
HELP US REACH OUR GOAL OF ONE TON (OR MORE) OF FOOD FOR THE UNION GOSPEL MISSION.

Staying Warm and Dry at Recess
It looks like it will be another soggy spring for the school playground and field. You can help your child stay dry by making sure they have waterproof footwear to use at recess. Extra socks kept in their backpack is helpful as well. Ensure their clothes stay dry by sending snow pants each day.
Students without boots will not be allowed to use the field. If we end up with more snow on the field, students without snow pants will not be allowed on the field as well. These students will be restricted in to the playground equipment area.
March and April can be a mixed bag temperatures, especially when winds blow off the cold waters of Lake Superior. Please make sure child always brings a jacket to at school.

Link to Current/Past Newsletters & their Table of Contents
We are trying something new. We have lots of information in our school newsletters and provide past links, but sometimes it can be hard to remember which newsletter a topic was discussed. We now have this: Current/Past Newsletters & their Table of Contents
We will keep a link of this on our website and in each school newsletter.
