From The Principal's Desk
The LMHS staff extends a warm welcome to your ongoing support for our school community as we approach the latter half of the academic year with determination. Undoubtedly, we anticipate facing familiar challenges ahead, and thus, we aim to provide some helpful reminders to guide us through the remainder of the semester.
馃搶Please check your email daily (students & parents). There will be a lot of information sent out over the next several weeks/months that will pertain to graduation, scholarships, testing, and other important items.
馃搶For our current 9th thru 11th graders, an email was sent out recently which explains the 2025-26 Course Selection Registration Process. Please see your email for more detailed information.
馃搶The Daily Bulletin is posted on our website each day by 9:30 AM - check it out!
馃搶Log into your Skyward account and check your child's grades, fees owed, messages, etc.

Second Semester Class Fees
Because students were doing class changes, we were waiting to assess 2nd semester fees. They now show in Skyward.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR FAMILY ACCESS to determine if/how much you owe. You can either pay online or pay at the high school. Please make checks payable to LMASD.
FYI - Statements are emailed AND mailed out each month.

Early College Credit and Start College Now Deadlines
Early College Credit Program
Wisconsin's Early College Credit Program (ECCP) allows students in grades 9-12 to take post-secondary courses at a UW System school or a state participating private non-profit institutions of high education
Start College Now Program
Wisconsin's Start College Now Program allows students in Grades 11 & 12 to take post-secondary courses at a technical college.
For both of these programs, the school district pay for tuition and fees unless a comparable course is available in the district. The student is responsible for transportation. The school board must approve these course selections in advance. Applications for the 2025 fall semester are due March 1, 2025 and applications for Spring 2026 are due October 1, 2025.
For more information on either one of these programs, please contact School Counselors Mr. Harty (for students last names A-K) or Ms. Dickhut (for students last names L-Z).
New This Year - Different School Day Schedule for March 11
On Tuesday, March 11, which is the Statewide ACT Test Date, we will be doing things a little different for the day at LMHS. We are calling it our Class Event Day.
On this day, all students should still report to school for a 7:50 AM start and follow the plan below:
9th Grade - will go on two Technical College Tours - Fort and Watertown
10th Grade - will go on two College Tours - UW-Madison and UW-Whitewater
11th Grade - will do the ACT Plus Writing Test here at LMHS
12th Grade - this will be a Portfolio Work Day/Turn In Day
This is a considered a regular school day. All students are expected to be in attendance. More details to follow in the near future about this day.
Open Enrollment Information
The Open Enrollment application period for the 2025-2026 school year is from February 3-April 30, 2025.
Parents may apply during this time. There will be a live link to the DPI application portal on the district's open enrollment page for parents starting February 3.
Families who are already open enrolled do not need to reapply.

Calendar Feature: NOTIFY ME
Our website has a great feature! When you go to the High School website and click on calendar on the left hand side, you will see our daily event calendar.
But, when you go to the District website, www.lakemills.k12.wi.us, hover on Calendars, from there you can reach the "Athletic Calendar". This is the rSchool calendar and within it you can register for texts and/or emails to remind you of chosen events.
The NOTIFY ME feature can register you to be notified if there are cancellations or changes to the schedule of your choice.
Although it is reached through the "athletic calendar", you can choose from many types of categories - check it out!

Food Service Menu Information
Menu changes may occasionally occur due to unforeseen circumstances, such as school closures and/or product availability.
The District website will be updated as needed if changes are made.
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to check the online menu, especially after a school closure.

Please be sure that all your information in Skyward is current and up to date.
With the winter season upon us, or for any other school emergency, that is the information we (and the District Office) use to contact you.
To make changes, you can get the directions from our website (www.lakemills.k12.wi.us), select Families, then Forms and Information and then Family Access Instructions.
Please pay special attention to your phone numbers and email addresses as well as the Skylert information.

School Closing Information
In the event of severe weather conditions that might require school to be closed or delayed, everyone can get information the following ways:

路 Call the high school at 648-2355 and go to extension 500
路 It will also be mentioned on some local television and radio stations
路 Make sure all your information is correct in Skylert - we send texts and phone calls as well!
Monthly Statements
Each month we email and mail home monthly financial statements to those families that owe class fees, student fines, etc. Payments can be:
篓 Made Electronically
篓 Mailed In
篓 Bring them into the high school - either you or your student
Avoid end of the year frustration and please take care of these obligations now!
Lunch Payments - It is also MUCH APPRECIATED to keep your lunch accounts in the positive. You can also pay this online or by sending payment with your student.
You can see both these balances by logging into your Skyward account.
