LAST MONTH AT A GLANCE
NEF Grant Winner!
I'm pleased to announce that my grant proposal was selected by the NISD NEF Grant Committee this past month. Apple Annie personally came out to our campus to award us money to purchase a book vending machine! I can't wait to fill it up with new books for our Behlau Bulldogs to choose from.

Station Time!
Our upper grades have been hard at work in their classrooms. To foster critical thinking and promote positive vibes, students utilized station time in the library to engage in hands-on activities and collaborative learning experiences.
Easter Bunny In The Library!
The Behlau Library was "hoppy" to host students who participated in this year's Behlau Readathon. Students had a great time eating lunch with the Easter Bunny. Thank you, Mrs. Delgado, for organizing this reading event!

Poetry in Your Pocket
The month of April is known as National Poetry Month, a time to celebrate poets and their craft. Over the years, it has become the largest literacy celebration in the world. Let's do our part here at Behlau and participate in Poem in Your Pocket Day held on April 18th. On this day, select a poem, carry it with you, and share it with others at schools, bookstores, libraries, parks, workplaces, and on social media using the hashtag #pocketpoem.
