🟦 Would your family benefit from a Thanksgiving meal delivery? Thanksgiving meals will be delivered on Tuesday, November 26. Submit a request by Tuesday, November 19th. English | Acción de Gracias Forma

🟦 Want to provide one or more Thanksgiving meals for our community familes? One Thanksgiving costs about $45, but ANY donation amount helps! We are planning for 50 families needing a meal based on our prior years numbers. Give a Thanksgiving Meal.

Thank you to those who attended our 1st General Membership meeting of the school year and a special SHOUT OUT to Principal Sharyn Mehner for being our guest speaker. Principal Mehner gave an insightful presentation about High School/College expectations and how that matters in middle school -- less focus on the grades, classes taken & AP credits - more focus on personal growth/well-rounded humans. Calling ALL Skyview students! The annual Reflections program is happening now! Deadline to submit entries is Tuesday November 20, 2024. The theme is "Accepting Imperfection".

Categories for submissions are:

• Literature
• Music Composition
• Photography
• Visual Arts
• Film/Video Production
• Choreography/Dance

Please support your student in their creativity and encourage their participation in this great cultural arts competition, hosted by National PTA and Washington State PTA!

On Friday, October 25, our Staff Appreciation Committee hosted a Chili Bar lunch for Skyview Staff, with the help of lots of volunteers! We want to thank our generous Skyview Middle School community, for their donations of chili, condiments, sides and desserts - AND those who gave their time to monitor the luncheon, ensuring that food was restocked as needed!! The comments from the staff were very positive and they appreciated the wide variety of options. Find more details in our website article.

If you would like to help us appreciate Skyview Staff in the future, watch our newsletters and website for more events. The next one is scheduled for Friday, December 13: "Hot Drinks & Sweet Treats". More information coming soon!
