Read-a-thon 2025
Our annual reading fundraiser is in full swing! Here are some ways to support your child, to make for a successful read-a-thon:
- Activate your child's ReadaFun account -- in order to invite sponsors, an adult must activate the account.
- Log daily reading -- have your child use a timer or a paper reading log throughout the day, then log their minutes on ReadaFun each evening (or at the end of the week).
- Ask questions -- engage with what your child is reading and how they are interacting on ReadaFun.

Wonderful Wednesday🥪Lunch Buddies
A new Lunch Buddies session has begun... but there are still spots open at all lunch periods; Sign up to be a lunch buddy. The PTO invites individuals who are passionate about contributing to the growth and success of young Timberwolves to act as lunchtime mentors* for an hour each week on Wednesdays.
*Participants must be on the master TCAPS Volunteer List. If you haven't volunteered within TCAPS in the past 18 months, click here for the background check application.
Every Day Can Be a Safe Routes Day!
Just because there is snow doesn't mean you can't walk, bike, or roll to school safely. Try winter biking, using a Park & Stroll Lot, or BATA's free Bayline route. With the right clothing and/or gear, you'll be ready to go no matter what the weather has in store.
Let us know about your commitment to starting the day happy, healthy, and ready to learn!
Staff Appreciation
Here are some ways you can show support anytime of the year:
- Provide a grab-n-go snack or beverage for the Staff Lounge
- You're always welcome to donate to the Teacher Appreciation fund.
Social / Community-Building Events
Check with your classroom parent/PTO liaison about any fun things planned with classmates.
Come to Spring Fling Color Burst Dance on Friday, Mar 7th. Upper Ele students will be selling tickets at the door ($5/ea) and snacks during the event to help raise funds for their spring trip to Camp Pinewood.
