🚨 Stay in School, Save Your Grades: Texas Attendance Rules!
Important Attendance Reminder Please be advised that according to Sec 25.085 of the Texas Education Code, children aged 6 to 19 must attend school unless exempt by law. This requirement also applies to children enrolled in pre-kindergarten or kindergarten. The law (TEC §25.095) requires schools to notify parents if a student is absent for 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period in the same school year. Additionally, under Texas Education Code §25.093, parents may face prosecution if they fail to ensure their child’s attendance, and the student may be referred to a truancy court. Attendance for Credit The state of Texas states that: "A student in any grade level from kindergarten through grade 12 may not be given credit or a final grade for a class unless the student is in attendance for at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered. A student who is in attendance for at least 75 percent but less than 90 percent of the days a class is offered may be given credit or a final grade for the class if the student completes a plan approved by the school's principal that provides for the student to meet the instructional requirements of the class."

"Celebrating Our Future Healthcare Heroes: Certified EKG Technicians!"
Certified EKG technicians make a difference every day:
By administering EKGs — testing the electronic activity of the heart through small electrode patches attached to the body — EKG Technicians make a life-changing difference, helping people of all ages prevent and treat heart disease.
Our scholars have been studying to become Certified EKG Technicians through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). With certification, it will be possible to seek employment in a medical setting as an EKG Technician immediately after high school!
Congratulations to who passed the NHA Certification Exam!
Thank you to Ms., Ali for leading our students in the right direction.
Gratitude in Action: A Special Thanksgiving Thanks to Our PTO!

Your generosity, dedication, and unwavering support make a meaningful difference in our school community. We are deeply grateful for all that you do to uplift our students and staff each day. Wishing everyone a joyous, peaceful, and well-deserved holiday break filled with warmth and gratitude! 🦃🍁✨
"Making an Impact: Our Boys Shine on Stage!"
All five of our boys had an incredible opportunity to take the stage, and they truly shined! Each one delivered their message with confidence and poise, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. Their outstanding performance caught the attention of students from other schools, teachers, and district personnel, who eagerly approached them afterward to commend their efforts. They also achieved an impressive milestone by securing the third-highest bill with the most votes to pass. This experience was both rewarding and inspiring, and we were proud to chaperone them as they represented our school with such excellence.

HSA BELL SCHEDULE
Building Success Together: The Harmony P.A.T.H Program!
Since our founding in 2000, Harmony Public Schools has emphasized home visits as a way to capitalize on our student’s successes in the classroom. Harmony’s Parent Teacher Home Visit (P.A.T.H) program promotes partnerships between teachers and parents that provide the means for effective team problem-solving, observing children in their home environment, and encouraging parent involvement. This is a volunteer service and if a parent volunteers for this service, their child’s teacher, principals, or any Harmony employee will come by your home on an evening of your choosing to provide you with educational resources and answer any questions you might have. It creates a personal bond between the students, parents, and teachers to ensure optimum success. Have you had your home-visit scheduled yet?
INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING AT OUR SCHOOL?
Parent involvement in education is crucial. Studies have shown that, when parents are involved at school, the performance of all children at the school, not just their own students, exhibits improvement.
Become part of our new volunteer program and get alerted to new opportunities for you to volunteer at HSA!
