COMING TO FIELD DAY?
Field days are one of our favorite end of year events and we are ready for a ton of fun this year! Thanks to the Walkathon fundraiser, we were able to arrange for some great inflatables to add to our field day line up! Parents ARE able to attend field days, but please fill out the form below so that we know who to expect and whether you will be taking your child home with you at the end of their event. (This form will be in Wilbur Words for the next few weeks.) Unfortunately, we do not have the space available in our cafeterias for family members to stay for lunch. Also, just a note that other Wilbur siblings can't be signed out to be brought to a different grade level's event. (With almost 1100 students, this has always been our guideline.)
FIFTH GRADE PARENTS: You are welcome to come at 12:30 to join the students during their picnic lunch and then stay for field day!
SENDING SOMEONE TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD?
Starting next week, if someone arrives at Wilbur to pick up a student, and they are already listed as an emergency contact for that child on our records, we will not call to verify the early dismissal. I have done this as a policy in the past as an extra layer of security, but many times, we can't reach the parent to get approval. If you do NOT want an emergency contact to pick up your child, you can let us know that and we will add a note to your child's record. Thank you!
Student Medication Pick Up Reminder
Dear Parent/Guardian,
If your child has received medications in school this year, please make arrangements with your school nurse to pick up any remaining medication.
Medication should not be sent home with the students. If you have completed the Student Possession and Use of Asthma Quick Relief Inhaler Form, the asthma inhaler may be sent home with the student. If you have any questions regarding the current medication requirements, please contact your school nurse.
Please note that student medications not picked up by the last staff day will be disposed of properly.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Wilbur School Nursing Team
