Students will earn 0.5 credit after a passing grade is achieved for Semester I (MP1, MP2) and earn another 0.5 credit passing for Semester II (MP3, MP4, and final exam). MP3 and MP4 will each weigh 45 percent and the final exam will weigh 10 percent to calculate the Semester II grade. Final grades will be calculated in Focus based on the MP3, MP4, and final exam grades.

Service Learning Hours
SERVICE LEARNING HOURS! In order to earn your diploma, you must have at least 75 Service Learning Hours earned in your student record. You can check your specific number of hours in FOCUS by going to My Information -> Service Learning. Please remember that you can submit any hours you've volunteered throughout your time in high school, even beyond 75 hours.
If you have less than 75 hours, KEEP READING...
There are a few options for how to earn your remaining hours.
If you do something within or related to PHS, you can have the person who supervised the activity either send me an email, or you can complete the Service Learning Hour form which can be picked up from the counseling office. This form must then be returned to my mailbox.
If you have already done an activity that could be considered community service, you can complete and submit that same form to me. I will also accept documentation provided directly from the organization (for example, some groups provide students with letters or certificates of completion) as long as this includes what the activity was, how many hours were served, and the name of the person in charge.
- If you don't have anything set up to finish this requirement or if you have any questions about this requirement, please reach out to me directly with a Schoology message. Let's make sure to get this requirement taken care of so it doesn't stand in your way of participating in any senior activities! Reach out with questions :)
Parkville Pantry
The Parkville Pantry is available to students and families in emergency situations where food and household supplies are needed; it is not meant as a long-term support. If you know of a family with long term needs, please reach out to their counselor so we can provide further support and resources.
