Community Celebration! ๐
๐๐World Down Syndrome Day was celebrated on March 21st. Since we were on break, we would love to celebrate together back at school!
Ways you can show your support:
- Wear mismatched socks on Thursday, March 27th, symbolizing the extra chromosome in Down syndrome. ๐งฆ
- Wear blue and yellow, the colors associated with Down syndrome. ๐๐
This day is a global healthcare event observed annually to raise awareness about Down Syndrome and to support friends and family members affected by it.
Thank you for your support in making this celebration meaningful for our students!

Returning Library Books Update
Dear Families,
Thank you for your continued support and engagement in your child's education. I wanted to inform you that we will no longer be accepting book drop-offs at the front office. That system has become more of a hindrance than a benefit for our school library operations. Instead, students will need to bring their books back and forth to school to help foster responsibility among them.
Each grade level has a rolling crate that goes back and forth every day. Students will drop off books in the morning to ensure that other students can check out previously checked-out books throughout the day. If your child forgot their book the previous day, have them drop it off in the grade level crate to ensure it's returned.
With our schedule, students come at the same time and day each week, making this process more streamlined. If you haven't already signed up for reminders, please text the following message to 81010 to join our reminders:
Tuesday Library- @rrdglibtu
Wednesday Library- @rrdglibwed
Thursday Library- @rrdglibth
Friday Library- @rrdglibfri
Thank you!

March Staff Spotlight ๐
๐ Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Vasquez! ๐
We are beyond grateful to have Mrs. Vasquez as part of our incredible 4th-grade team! From the moment she joined our school, she has made a tremendous impact on her students and colleagues alike. Every time I walk by or visit her classroom, she is fully engagedโworking with an individual student or leading a small group, ensuring that every child receives the instruction and support they need to thrive. She tirelessly tiers her instruction to meet her students where they are, creating a learning environment where every child feels seen, valued, and capable of success.
But what truly sets Mrs. Vasquez apart is the genuine love and connections she builds with her students. Her passion for teaching and her unwavering dedication to their growth and well-being shine through in everything she does.
We are so lucky to have this Swiftie on our 4th-grade team! ๐ซถ Thank you, Mrs. Vasquez, for all you do!
