October 17, 2024 School Board Meeting
The Governing Board voted to accept the consent agenda items. Items listed under the consent agenda motion are considered to be a regular course of procedure and are acted on by the Board of Trustees in one motion.
There is no discussion of these items prior to the Board vote unless a member of the Board, staff, or the public requests specific items be discussed and/or removed from the agenda. It is understood that the administration recommends approval on all consent items. Each item on the consent agenda approved by the Board of Trustees shall be deemed to have been considered in full and adopted as recommended.

The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a three-year plan that describes the goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes that address state and local priorities. The LCAP provides an opportunity for our schools and the district to share their stories of how, what, and why programs and services are selected to meet their local needs.
Mrs. Samantha Haley, Fammatre Principal and Mrs. Amy O'Hehir, Farnham Principal, provided a summary and outlined their 2024-25 Local Control Accountability Plan School Plan. These updates included an overview of the goals, actions and services for improving student outcomes according to the eight priorities set by the state in alignment with the District's Local Control Accountability Plans.

Board Policy and Regulation: Independent Study 6158 (First Reading)
One of the roles of the Governing Board is to ensure District Board policies are reviewed, added, removed and kept up to date in order to keep the District legally compliant. The Governing Board reviewed the following policy and regulation in order to allow the District to remain in compliance.

The next meeting of the Cambrian School Board will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 7 p.m. Meetings are held in person at the Professional Development Center located at 4115 Jacksol Drive, San Jose, CA 95124 in Building 7, and can be viewed online as well. Agenda and login information will be available the week of the November 7th meeting. The meeting is open to the public.
