Dear Middleton Families,

Tomorrow is a busy day at Middleton! At 7:00 am we start our FIRST Friday Chess Club of the year. Over 90 students are signed up! In addition to that, the student store will be open at 7:30, and we have our first Popcorn Friday of the year. Thank you to all of our volunteers for making these fun things happen for our students!


Fun Run Update: We hit the $60,000 mark! THANK YOU for your generosity. This means I'll be getting duct taped to a wall AND the kids get to spray me with silly string... can't wait! :)

Fall Conferences

Fall Conferences are next Thursday and Friday, October 24 & 25, so there will be no school both days. We are excited to have a chance to share more about your child’s progress. Some families take the long weekend for vacations, but please be aware that teachers are not expected to schedule formal conference make-ups outside of these days. Thank you for understanding.

Scholastic Book Fair

Volunteers: We need volunteers! Please click HERE to sign up to help.

When: October 21st- October 25th. Each class will visit the Book Fair during their library time on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Families are welcome to stop by and shop on Thursday from 8:00 am -7:30 pm and Friday from 8:00-10:00 am during our conference days.

What: The book fair is a temporary event that brings books from many publishers, including new best sellers, classics and exclusive titles to encourage reading and raise money for our school library.

Changing "Go Home" Plans

As a quick reminder, if your child's "go-home" plans change while your child is at school, please call the front office before 2:00 pm to communicate these plans. We then send a note to the classroom right at the end of the day to ensure everyone gets where they need to go.

Harvest Parties & Costumes

October 31st is just around the corner, and all classrooms will have a Harvest Party. Students are allowed to bring costumes to school to change into for the party. Parties will be at various times depending on grade level schedules. You'll hear from your child's teacher about these details. Please be sure costumes are school-appropriate. This means no weapons, fake blood, masks, make-up, or face paint. It's best if your child can take their costume on and off independently, or just wear it over their clothes. Many classrooms will ask for parent volunteers. If you plan to volunteer, be sure you have completed your background check this year.

Yearbook

Have you ordered your yearbook? Order yours before October 31st to save 10%. All yearbooks include two free custom pages for you to personalize for your child. Check out this flyer for more details!

The Middleton online apparel store is back for a limited time! Art Literacy

Art Literacy lessons started last Monday. To help with a fun art project, sign up HERE (must have a completed background check on file). Lead teachers must have permission from our art literacy team, but helpers are always welcome! If there are already three people signed up for the classroom you’d like to help with, you are still welcome to attend without signing up. Questions? Contact Kristin at art@middletonpac.org.

District Playdates

Our district is hosting free play dates at the District Office from 8-10 am on Wednesdays throughout the year. Play dates are open to families with young children ages 0 to 4. For more information, please see the flyer linked here.

SHS Booster Club Auction

GET READY! It's time for the 2024 SHS Booster Club Annual Auction. This year, come ready to WIN BIG for our Bowmen athletes with the addition of a Casino Night! This unforgettable evening will feature classic Casino Games, delicious food and drinks, incredible casino prizes and auction items, plus excellent company, all in support of our Student-Athletes.
