Welcome Trafalgar Eagles! It's Time to Explore a Galaxy of Learning!
Hello Trafalgar Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We hope you enjoyed your summer and were able to recharge and relax. We are proud to report Trafalgar earned a grade of A from the state, and we are anticipating another positive year of learning and growth for all students! We have had a fantastic start to the year!
Security continues to stay at the forefront of all our minds. Please know the safety of our students and staff is our number one priority. Please be assured of the following:
All exterior access points, including gates and doors are locked and secure at all times.
All visitors on campus must have a photo ID to be scanned before entering the campus.
All students and visitors are required to enter the campus through our Open Gate system.
An SRO is present on campus during school hours.
Staff are present and visible throughout the campus.
Campus activities are monitored with 88 cameras.
Safety drills are conducted throughout the school year.
School safety team meets biweekly to review and assess safety procedures.
Safety questions specific to our after school program, Voyages, can be addressed with our program directors.
- Thank you for continuing to remember to be patient with parent drop-off and pick up lines. Lines tend to take longer in the beginning of the year as students and families learn our procedures. Great news! The line is moving faster every day, so please remember students are to be in class by 7:55am, and we dismiss at 2:10pm. Thanks for your help!
- Please keep your car tag up until your child enters the car. This is very helpful for the teacher at the cone during dismissal.
- All parent drop off families to also be reminded when heading north on 20th Ave., PLEASE do not make a Uturn to get into the line at the cones or in the open bus ramp space. There is no left turn into the school when arriving after 7:15.
- We also ask that no one pulls out of the right lane near the sidewalk into the left lane to go around a car that is not yet loaded or unloaded. This extra minute you may wait will help keep everyone safe. The inside lane is for PreK families who have just dropped off a student or for others leaving the campus from the parking lot.
Thank you for following established procedures and for supporting our wonderful team of teachers and staff! It takes a positive team to create a safe and welcoming learning experience for all students. Please feel free to call us with any questions.
Respectfully,
Mrs. Murphy, Principal
Dr. Williamson, Assistant Principal

Do You Have a FOCUS Account for Your Student?
Remember: Even if you have a FOCUS account set up for your child, you will need to go into the account to fill out important health and emergency forms for the new school year. The district will no longer be sending home paper copies of report cards, so having a FOCUS account is vital to receiving academic information. Please let us know how we can help!

See below for check out options with helpful hints.
- My child has full access to check out books from the school media center, except for books that have been restricted or those that require parent/guardian consent. (Please note that we do not have any restricted or challenged books in the Media Center.)
2- My child is not permitted to check out books from the school media center (this includes books in the child's classroom, and on Over Drive in Launchpad, unless it is directly related to the adopted curriculum).

Does Your Child Ride a Bus?
Where's the Bus App
Please register for the Where's the Bus App if you have a bus assigned to your student. You will be able to see when your student boards, track the ride to and from school, and see when your student leaves the bus. The district would like to have all families of bus riders registered in the App, so please see below for instructions as to how to register. Thank you!
Supply Lists: See Below! Let us know if we can help!

Special Note: Lunch with Students
Parents will be asked to wait for one more week before joining students for lunch in the courtyard. Students and teachers benefit from time to get to know each other and school routines before we allow this procedure to begin the week of August 26th. Thanks for your understanding.
