Halloween 2024
A huge thank you to everyone for making Halloween 2024 a fantastic day for our students and staff! We kicked off the festivities with our annual Halloween parade, followed by classroom parties and an all-school sing-along. Our 5th graders wowed us with creative Halloween parodies, singing awesome songs about monsters, ghosts, and of course, candy!
Team Give hosted our annual staff pumpkin decorating contest, and our staff truly outdid themselves with incredible Disney-themed pumpkins. Together, we raised over $830, which will be donated to the winning team's designated charity. Congratulations to our winners:
- 3rd Place: Kindergarten - "Up House"
- 2nd Place: Office Staff - "Winnie the Pooh and Friends"
- 1st Place: 4th Grade - "Baby Yoda"
Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make this event a success!

Chasing Childhood
We appreciate everyone who came to watch our screening of the documentary Chasing Childhood this Tuesday. We have heard a lot of thoughtful discussion focused on this topic and how it ties in with our previous conversations surrounding the book The Anxious Generation. Efforts like these involve everyone in the community, and we hope to continue facilitating conversations and working with community partners to better our students' lives both in the classroom and out. If you were unable to attend our screening on Tuesday, you can view the documentary on YouTube. We also have mini-libraries of The Anxious Generation in the lobby of Caruso, South Park, and Wilmot to check out.
D109 Tech Tip
Please, do not looking in classroom windows.
I want to ask our families to refrain from looking into classroom windows at arrival and dismissal. This is distraction to students and staff and could be a breach of our security procedures.
