2022 Retirement Approved

At Monday's School Board meeting, the Board accepted the retirement notice of Roger Palzkill (Maintenance Director) at the end of the school year. #PointerNation is grateful for your 32 years of service to our district!

State Bound

#PointerNation Wrestling is State Bound! Mineral Point will send seven wrestlers to the WIAA Individual State Tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison starting Thursday night! A big congrats to our State qualifiers from Saturday's Sectional:
1st: Tarrin Riley, Kade Rule, Lucas Sullivan
2nd: Bo Hanson
3rd: Roen Carey, Carson Kroll, Trapper Nafzger

Conference Champs

Let's hear it for our #PointerNation Boys Basketball Team, winning at least a share of the SWAL Conference Championship Friday with a victory over Boscobel! The Pointers can claim sole possession with a win at Southwestern Thursday. With the postseason quickly approaching, MP is currently ranked 4th in the state in Division 4. Keep up the fantastic work!

A big congrats to Pointer Ashlie Baumgartner who made the podium at Thursday's SWC Conference Gymnastics meet with a 2nd place finish on Vault! Ashlie was also named a 2nd Team All-Conference selection on Bars and Honorable Mention in the All-Around.

WIAA Brackets Released

Kudos to the #PointerNation Boys Basketball Team for earning the #1 seed and a first round bye in their WIAA Division 4 Postseason bracket! Notes from Nurse Lindsey

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the CDC recommend that anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 or who has had close contact with someone with COVID-19 be tested. The test for COVID-19 involves a quick swab of the inside of the nose. The school is working with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on providing rapid antigen and PCR tests in school. If you would like to have the option for your child to get a PCR or antigen test at school, they must bring the attached consent form signed by a parent/guardian if they are under 18 years old. You would be contacted before any testing would occur and only if indicated per school policy. This form is being distributed now, to be collected in advance so that in the event your child needs to be tested, we would not have to wait for the form to be returned during the middle of a work or school day.
