Message from the Principal
Hello McDaniel Community,
Students have started planning for Homecoming on September 15th! Our Club Fair will be held next week on September 13th. A list of clubs, meeting times and locations is available on our website.
We need your support with morning arrivals. Student tardiness has increased and we are noticing students are arriving a few minutes late. We know that the drop off line in the morning can get long. If you are dropping off at the main entrance, please allow for an additional 10 minutes. As an alternative, you can drop your student off at the gym entrance/ stadium parking lot.
We are off to a great start for Fall Athletics! Varsity Girls soccer beat Century in their home opener last week and tied both South Salem and Nelson High School. Varsity Boys Soccer beat Nelson in their first game of the season, lost to McNary at home on Tuesday, but won 4-1 vs Tualatin last night. Varsity Volleyball placed second in the Forest Grove Tournament! They lost to David Douglas last Friday and won both their games this week vs Cleveland and Lincoln. McDaniel top finishers in Cross Country were Josh Hepner placing 17th and Berlin Herrera placing 26th in the PIL Cross Country Showcase. Varsity Football lost 2-20 on the road to South Eugene. Come out and see them take on Putnam tonight at 7 pm! Go Mountain Lions!
Have a great weekend and let us know if you have any questions.
