The "Mini": Top Reminders & Helpful Links
1. Friday, October 18th: Fun Friday! (Bring money for Kona)
Fun Friday is open to all students who have demonstrated positive behaviors thus far in the school year. Students can exchange their PBIS points for rewards such as popcorn and free lunch seating. They can also bring money in order to purchase Kona Ice.
2. Friday, October 18th: Hispanic Heritage Friday. "Coco & Encanto Movie Character Day"
In addition to normal Friday Uniform options, Students may wear clothing that represents a character from the movies Coco or Encanto.
3. Friday, October 18th: Custodian Appreciation Day
Our PTA will be coordinating treats to appreciate our custodians! Your PTA support makes this possible. If you have not already supported the PTA, you can do so by clicking here.
4. October 21-25th: Red Ribbon Week
5. October 21-25th: Bus Driver Appreciation Week
Our PTA will be coordinating appreciation events for our bus drivers all week! Looking for an extra way to show your appreciation for your bus driver? Many drivers have included their favorite things on our RCMS Teacher & Staff Favorite Things list.
6. Wednesday, October 23rd: Tumbling Tryouts
Open to 7th and 8th Graders only. All sports tryout schedules can be found on the Athletics Schedules page.
7. Thursday, October 24th: Dress Down Day ($5 Cash)
Proceeds benefit the PTA and Foundation. Bring $5 cash in order to Dress Down. Don't forget to adhere to our dress down day dress code policy.
8. Thursday, October 24th: Hispanic Heritage Night and Concert
Band, Orchestra and Chorus will be performing in their first concerts of the year! Timing and details for each group were sent out by the individual music teachers. Students will be selling raffle tickets and snow cones to raise funds for our Universal Studios trip scholarship fund. You can also make a donation to the scholarship fund by clicking Here.
9. Dads Night Tickets Available! Saturday, October 26th.
Join other RCMS Dads for a night of cornhole, fire pit, Tucker Brewing and BBQ. Our Dad's Night was offered as a part of our Auction. We still have space remaining. Cost is $50 and includes Tucker Brewing and BBQ. Please email Amanda Wooden at agwooden@gmail.com no later than October 21st if you would like to attend.
10. Basketball Tryouts Continue
Basketball tryouts continue this month. Tryouts are organized by grade and gender. You can view the tryout schedule on the Athletics Schedules page.
