50/50 Ticket Fundriser
We were a couple of days late drawing for the 50/50 prize, as we had so many tickets that were not returned on time. The winner of our 50/50 ticket draw was Ms. Sheila Silver. The winning prize was $5789.93. As well, our top ticket seller was McKenna Dominey in Grade 5 who wins $200! We want to thank everyone for their support with our school fundraiser.
Term 1 Report Cards
Term 1 Report Cards went home via students on Friday, December 6. Family/Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, December 12 from 1:00 - 6:00 PM. We will use the online program, OPTIS, again this year for booking appointments to meet your child’s teacher(s). Here is the link to the OPTIS website and all the instructions you will need. OPTIS will open for bookings on Wednesday, December 4 at 10:00 AM and will close on Thursday, December 12 at 10:00 AM. Interview slots will be a 10 minute session. If you feel you need more time to meet with your child’s teacher, please reach out to the teacher and schedule an alternate time. Lost and Found Items
We have accumulated a large number of items in our school lost and found since September. If your child has lost or misplaced something, please encourage them to come have a look to see if anything belongs to them. What is not claimed by the last day of school prior to the holidays, December 20, will be donated to a charity. Parents are also more than welcome to stop by the front lobby to have a look.
Count Your Blessings
This is a great opportunity to help us help others. The valuable, real life teachable moments for our students that come from doing an initiative like this cannot be taught from any textbook. Any opportunity we get to teach our children about citizenship, collaboration, empathy, caring and kindness is an opportunity well invested.
School Council
Our wonderful school council members will be coming into our school sometime in the next week or so, to deliver a "treat" (ice cream) to all of our students. They will have an ice cream sandwich/popsicle for each child. If you would prefer your child not avail of this treat, please let us know as soon as possible.
Countdown to Christmas
Our student leaders have planned a 10 Day Countdown to Christmas! Please see the theme calendar below.
Library Books
Please ensure your child returns all checked out library books back to the school by December 19th, prior to the Holidays.
Christmas Tree
If anyone has a large Christmas Tree they no longer have use for and is looking to donate, we would love to have one for our school lobby.
