SNEAK PEEK and CURRICULUM NIGHT
Sneak Peek and Curriculum Night
Hello Ojibwa Families,
Please save the date for the Ojibwa Sneak Peek/Curriculum Night that will be held on Tuesday, August 27 from 5:00-7:30 pm. This is an open house for you and your student to attend whichever session works best for you.
Parents MUST accompany their student on the night of the Sneak Peek.
- Please enter Ojibwa through the Cafeteria Entrance (Door 22). During the Sneak Peek, students and parents will learn who their child’s teacher is and will be invited to attend the classroom and learn about the grade level curriculum for the year. There will be a 5:00 pm session and a 6:00 pm session in each classroom. If you have more than 2 students that attend Ojibwa, you will be able to touch base with any teachers missed from 7-7:30 pm.
INCOMING KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS
- If you have not yet turned in a copy of your immunization records or Hearing and Vision form, you can do this on the night of Sneak Peek. These forms need to be turned in before the first day of school.
DISTRICT-WIDE PAPERWORK PROCESS
- We are in year 2 of the district-wide change as to how parents will update emergency contact information and sign all the district/school policies. This process is continuing to be done electronically through your Parent Portal. Directions for completing this process are attached below. This process MUST be completed by a parent/guardian to enable your student to start on the first day of school. The forms are currently open in the Parent Portal, so you can complete this process at any time, but please plan to do so by Tuesday, September 3rd.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO PARENT PORTAL OR FORGOT YOUR LOG-IN INFORMATION
- If you need help accessing your Parent Portal, please contact the Ojibwa Office at 586-723-6400.
IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND OJIBWA SNEAK PEAK ON AUGUST 27TH
- If you are unable to attend the Sneak Peek, you will be able to view your teacher on parent portal starting Wednesday, August 28.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, August 27!

Parking Lot Drop-Off and Pick-Up Lane
Just a reminder, the drop-off/pick-up lane is not to be used for parking your car or getting out of your vehicle. This lane is designed for pick-up and drop-off at the curb, and for you to continue on. Please be respectful of the intention of this lane, and do not get out of your vehicle if in this lane.
If you do intend to leave your vehicle please find a parking spot, cross at a crosswalk, and pick up your student at their student doors. The crosswalks, parking lot, and pick-up/drop-off lane are specifically designed to create a safe environment for our entire community. By using the lot as it is intended we prevent accidents and injuries from occurring.
MS and High School Student Reminder
Middle and High School students are NOT allowed on school property until 3:35 PM on full days and 11:45 AM on half days. Any students on school property prior to this designated time will be considering trespassing and will be asked to leave until the allotted time.
If any parent pickup adults have concerns about MS and HS siblings causing disruptions during pickup times please let the front office know immediately.
