Clyde- Savannah Update- great news!
Spring 2024 Issue of NYS Archives Jr! Lincoln and Immigration
The New York State (NYS) Archives has released the Spring 2024 issue of New York Archives Jr! Lincoln and Immigration.
Kid's Discover NY History Units of Study FREE for rest of school year
New York: Early History of the Empire State
New York: Establishing the Empire State
As native New Yorkers, these resources were so cool to develop with our Editorial Team, and Ted and I could not be more proud of how they turned out.
We've made both of these Units of study entirely free for the remainder of the school year, with no account required to view. So please feel free to pass along and give a heads up to all of your component districts, even if they're not current subscribers.
Let us know if you have any questions or receive any feedback, thanks!

Gale Onefile: High School
Gale OneFile: High School Edition is a database of periodicals. It is a subset of Gale: Academic OneFile and Gale: General OneFile. Gale pulled out the periodical content most applicable to High School Students for easier exploration.
Because you’ve had Gale: Academic OneFile and General OneFile for the past 20+ years via NOVEL, the content in OneFile High School has always been available. It’s just now that it’s being pulled out to search the HS content separately.
Gale in Context: High school sits on the same In Context platform your students and teachers are most familiar with and was created for schools. Our Gale OneFile resources were created for colleges and universities.
In Context provides:
- Ways to level content: by selecting content level in search results or by toggling between Lexile levels at the article level.
- Content to build background knowledge, engagement through multimedia, and is more suited to support both high school research and curriculum/classroom needs.
- Offers more multi-modalities supporting different learning needs and allows students a much more diverse content set so they can see themselves in what they find to help them find relevancy and make connections between the past and present.
