VIKING NEWS
August 6, 2024
Mt. Hebron Families,
We hope you have enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with memorable moments and relaxation. It’s hard to believe, but the time has come to gear up for another exciting school year at Mt. Hebron and celebrate our 60th anniversary.
Our school motto states: We are EXCELLENCE. We are COMMUNITY. We are HEBRON. This year, we will take a strong focus on COMMUNITY. We believe that a strong, supportive community is essential for success. We will continue to cultivate a school community where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued. We will do this by connecting with each other – emphasizing service, empowering leaders, and igniting our strong Viking school spirit! #Horns Up
- Service: Giving back to our community is a vital part of our school culture. We encourage all students and families to participate in service opportunities and make a positive impact both within and outside of our school.
- Leadership: We are committed to developing the leaders of tomorrow. Through various student opportunities and activities, we aim to empower our students to take initiative, inspire others, and lead by example.
- Spirit: School spirit brings us together and fuels our passion for learning and growth as a community. Let’s celebrate our Viking pride, by getting involved in school events, and support our clubs, teams, and performing arts to create lasting memories together.
We have an exciting year ahead filled with opportunities for academic achievement and success, personal growth, and fun. Our dedicated teachers and staff are eager to support every student in reaching their goals. We encourage all families to get involved and contribute to the vibrant life of our school and community.
I encourage you to start your involvement by joining our PTSA and Viking Backers. These two parent organizations are a tremendous support to the advocacy of your children and financially fund the variety of clubs, fine arts, instructional groups and athletics at our school.
Thank you for being a part of the Mt. Hebron family. We look forward to seeing you on August 22nd for our New Student Orientation, Open House, and Back to School Night. Stay connected with us each week by reading our weekly newsletter, visiting our website, and following us on Instagram @hcpss_MHHS.
With Viking Pride and Spirit,
Katie Clark
Principal, Mt. Hebron High School

Family File
All parents/guardians need to visit https://www.hcpss.org/connect/ to update the Family File for each student – this is an annual task for everyone. We are asking all MHHS parents/guardians to update their Family File before school begins. Parents should log in to HCPSS Connect and select the "Family File" tab and then click on "Family File". Once logged in, you will be asked to provide your login information. While we recognize many of you may not have any changes to make, you must click through all of the screens and click submit in order to have this task completed. Some decisions require annual permission, such as permission to photograph your student. Parents who have forgotten their login credentials may click the "Forgot Password" link on the sign-in page. If you need additional assistance, please fill out the Connect Help Form.
