Aldine Connection
A Newsletter for the Staff and Community of Aldine ISD
Message from the Superintendent - November 7, 2024
Dear Aldine Community,
Pepperoni pizza wins! In the election at Hinojosa Primary, the students chose Pepperoni Pizza with 355 votes over Cheese Pizza with 129 votes (not to mention 19 voided ballots!)
At Aldine ISD, we view each election season as an opportunity to encourage civic engagement and foster real-world learning. Whether or not your candidates prevailed this week, your participation in this process strengthens our community and democracy. We want to thank the Civic Engagement team for connecting with our students who got to vote in their first election as registered voters. I am incredibly grateful to all those who have gone before us to ensure that we have the opportunity to vote.
Speaking of being grateful, November invites us to practice gratitude, and I am immensely thankful to be part of this community. Each time I visit our campuses, I see the incredible dedication of our teachers, staff, coaches, bus drivers, and community partners. Your commitment to our students and the #AldineImpact you make is inspiring.
