AP Spanish Day of the Dead Projects
AP students simulate a Day of the Dead celebration by creating a traditional ofrenda for an individual whose life is inspiring or interesting to them.
Each ofrenda is intended to celebrate the life of the person they researched as well as provide the student the opportunity to understand the cultural significance of each element on the ofrenda.
Through this experience, students can identify why so many cultures value the remembrance of deceased loved ones and compare how the things people do to practice this value vary from culture to culture.

ROTC Rifle Team Competition
STAR Athlete
Meet Junior Ayanna Rubio, our North Forsyth Rifle Marksmanship Team Athlete of the Week, and a force to be reckoned with. In the three matches this season, Ayanna has been consistently on point, averaging an impressive 280 points. Her precision and focus under pressure set the bar high for the team, pushing them to new heights. Ayanna's leadership and composure make her not just a top scorer but also an inspiration to her teammates.
Ayanna's dedication and sportsmanship shine on and off the range, embodying the team's values. We look forward to her continued success in marksmanship as the season unfolds. Congratulations, Ayanna, for being our standout athlete this week. Your journey in riflery is one to watch.

Healthcare:
Healthcare Science students & HOSA members went on a field trip to Northeast Georgia Medical Center- Gainesville. They toured the Cardiac Cath Lab, Emergency Dept, Rehab-Ortho Unit, and Microbiology Lab. Such a memorable, fun, and educational experience!
Essentials of Healthcare students enjoyed learning the anatomy of the heart during the Cardiovascular Unit.
Engineering and Robotics:
NFHS Engineering classes and VEXIQ teams write letters to the troops.North Forsyth High School Robotics Team placed 3rd against the top teams in the state this weekend at GRITS - FRC Robotics Competition.
North Forsyth Robotics Team tied 4th and won Most Robust Robot at the BEST Robotics Competition. This means our robot performed its task perfectly without the need of repairs or redesign. I love this Competition because the teams get a bucket of parts and they must build a robot out of those parts and nothing else. I am proud of my hard working team!
