Principal Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This week started with a little snow on the ground and cold in the air, and full of excitement for what was coming.
Tuesday we had our first hot lunch of the year. Thank you to the Wildwood Parent Council for Organizing, Wildwood 2 for 1 pizza for providing and DRAX to sponsoring. The students enjoyed their pizza. We also did our school bus evacuation practice on Tuesday afternoon as part of school bus safety week. Thank you to Natasja and Dave for bringing their buses and making sure our students are safe.
Tuesday after school Flag Football Club had their end of season BBQ wrap up.
Wednesday we had our first Picnic Lunch of the year, students had an opportunity to eat with friends from across different classes. Our next Picnic Lunch will be on November 13th and we would like to invite interested parents to join us. Thank you to Mrs. Karen Riggs for organizing.
Wednesday and Thursday after school were Parent Teacher Interviews, if you missed them and would like to discuss your student's progress please contact their teacher.
Your student should have brought home their physical proofs for school pictures on Thursday, October 24th.
On Friday, there is no school for students. Staff will be at the school going over data, new learning, and reviewing our School Continuous Improvement Plan.
Next week is a 5 day week, with Halloween on the 31st, students are encouraged to wear costumes if they would like. On Friday, November 1st School Council will be doing the First Pancake Breakfast of the year and it is also PI Day.
If you have any questions or concerns you can always reach out to the school through the office or email me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca.
Sincerely,
Alan Stoyles
Principal
