5.1.25 NYOS Elementary Newsletter

EARLY RELEASE at 12:15pm MONDAY, MAY 12th
Elementary End of Year Conferences are Friday, May 9th and Monday, May 12th. All students must be picked up or dismissed to an afterschool program at 12:15 EVEN IF you have a conference scheduled for that afternoon. All staff participate in conferences, so we are not able to supervise children after dismissal.
We value our partnership with you in ensuring a smooth and safe dismissal for all students. To help us with this, our Student/Parent Handbook outlines that students should be picked up within 15 minutes of dismissal. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occasionally arise, and we appreciate your best efforts in adhering to this guideline. Please be aware that repeated late pick-ups may necessitate us following the procedures outlined in our handbook, which includes contacting the appropriate authorities if necessary to ensure a child's well-being.

Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found has grown quite a bit over the past few months! This week, we will be setting out all Lost and Found items under the breezeway near the middle doors to make it easy for families to come by and look for any missing belongings.
Please take a moment to stop by and check if any items belong to your student. Any unclaimed items remaining after school on Friday will be donated.
Thank you for your help in making sure these lost treasures find their way home!
Staff and Teacher Appreciation Week Starts May 5th!
Celebrations and Appreciations!
Your kind words and support for our staff is greatly appreciated! If you would like to send a Shout Out or Celebration to a NYOS Elementary staff member or teacher, please do! It can be anonymous or signed. Thank you for lifting up our hard working teachers and faculty. We love what we do and appreciate your partnership!
