MUSTANG MINUTE
March 25, 2024
The Mission of Chugiak High School: Inspire Students. Excel Academically. Strengthen Community.
******************************************************************************************************
All Seniors are eligible to join for Senior Fun Day. A signed permission slip and payment are required. We will accept cash, a check made out to Chugiak Student Government, or a printed receipt of a Parent Connect Payment. Each student must have the permission slip and payment present on 5/7 to join on the bus. Please contact Ms. Miller with any questions.
SENIOR PRANKS
While students may find the idea of a senior prank humorous, the school and the ASD are left responsible for the damage. Senior pranks are not acceptable, are not considered a rite of passage and will not be tolerated. Seniors who participate in senior pranks will risk not participating in graduation. Make good choices, Mustangs.
ALTERNATIVE SCHEDULE REMINDER
A reminder that this week Chugiak High School will complete the Alaska STAR Assessment and the Alaska Science Assessment. This opportunity provides students a chance to show what they know. When students show what they know, teachers and parents can partner to promote student success.
We will be on an alternative bell schedule this week to accommodate students who are testing.

Hey Mustang Families,
The members of the Prom Planning Committee need your help! We are looking for tablecloths or table runners to borrow to match the vibe of our prom as pictured beside. We are looking for a variety of patterns and colors on each table to make them unique. The expectation is that they will be used and are at risk of getting dirty. We will make sure to label, wash, and return them to you after prom!
If you're able to lend anything to help with prom, please reach out to the CHS Prom Coordinators - Mrs. Bailey (bailey_ashley@asdk12.org) or Ms. Metzger (metzger_tori@asdk12.org). Thanks so much for helping make our prom a successful event!
NATIVE YOUTH OLYMPICS
Native Youth Olympics (NYO) practice is Tuesday & Thursday 2:15-4 pm, Room 209. Contact Mrs. Wendell.

DRIVING SAFETY / PLANNING AHEAD
With the winter months in full swing we would like to stress the importance to all our student drivers about planning accordingly in leaving their homes and arriving to school on -time. We have received numerous reports of student drivers speeding within the school zone and the student parking lot.
For everyone's safety please discuss with your student drivers the importance of following the speed limits around the school as well as in the parking lot.
