Meet Some of Our New Educators!
Welcome, Ms. Atkinson!
We are thrilled to have Ms. Atkinson joining us as a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant!
Hello! My name is Shauna Atkinson . I have worked in education for over 18 years. I am so excited to be part of the James Mastricola elementary team! I truly love watching the students grow and develop. I find working with the students so rewarding. Every day is different and never boring. When I’m not working at school supporting the students, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends whether it’s kayaking, taking a hike or just playing a board game. Spending time with them is always special to me!
Welcome, Ms. Bibeault as a Second Grade Teacher!
Hello! My name is Hope Bibeault and I am so excited to officially join the MES team as a second grade teacher! I graduated from the University of New Hampshire College of Professional Studies (previously known as Granite State College) in the winter of 2023 and took over a long term kindergarten substitute position from February to June of this past school year. This will be my first year as a full-time classroom teacher, which has been my dream ever since I was little! I am really looking forward to this next year and being able to continue my teaching journey at such a positive and supportive school.
When I’m not teaching or planning lessons, I enjoy long distance running, baking semi-healthy desserts, taking my dog on walks, reading, and crafting. I also love camping with my family and eating s’mores by the campfire! I cannot wait to have a memorable first year with all of you!
We Welcome Mrs. Adams to the Computer Lab!
Hello MES! This will be my 21st year teaching in Merrimack and I'm excited to see you all in the computer lab! I am looking forward to a fun year helping students develop more computer and technology skills. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books, practicing yoga, and enjoying nature.
Ms. Kane Joins Our Title One Team!
Hello everyone! My name is Alicia Kane and I am looking forward to joining MES this school year. I previously worked in the Title 1 program at Reeds Ferry School and before that I worked in childcare. I have always enjoyed working with children. When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my 3 year old son Jonathan and our dog Sammi. We love going for walks and going to the beach. I can’t wait to be a part of MES and getting to know you all this year!

Days One and Two Dismissal Information for Kindergarten and Grade One Students!
Kindergarten and Grade One Families Only:
**Please fill out one form for each student in kindergarten and/or grade one that you have.**
MES uses an app called School Dismissal to assist with the daily dismissal of students. You will be receiving a log in email during August where you will enter the dismissal information for students in ALL grades.
To help ensure that our youngest learners are going to the right place, especially when things may be different those first couple of days, we ask you to fill out this form with dismissal information for Thursday and Friday. Please don't hesitate to reach out to sarah.summerfield@sau26.org with any questions.
Preschool Arrival and Dismissal
Preschool Arrival and Dismissal is done on the playground side, off of O'Gara Drive. Please see the map for specific directions and schedules.
What's Been Happening This Summer?
Mrs. Conrad has been painting The Second Step Problem Solving Model!
This visual will aid students in independently problem solving recess conflicts using the problem solving steps of our Second Step Program.
1. Say the problem without blame.
2. Think of safe and respectful solutions.
3. Explore Consequences: What would happen if...
4. Pick the best solution. Make your plan.
