"Steps to College is a joint project of the Consulate General of Mexico in Sacramento, the California Student Aid Commission, Cien Amigos advocacy group and the Mexican Cultural Center of Northern California, as well as public and private institutions.

Representatives from distinguished colleges and universities from California and Mexico, as well as State of California higher education experts, and nonprofit higher education organizations and advocates work together each year to help students navigate the college experience and learn about their finance options for higher education.

The fair is designed to help all families and students navigate a successful path to college.

Education is the most important tool for personal development and success, as well as an engine for the continued progress of California."

• Passing all classes, including partial credit Edmentum courses
• Attendance is spotless
• FAFSA/CADA completed (March 3rd is the deadline for CalGrant)
• Cap and gown ordered (if you have not ordered it, do so ASAP, below is the link and instructions)
• You have met with Ms. Munoz for post-secondary planning

To order cap & gown:

• Go to herffjones.com and click on Shop your School and type in South Lindhurst High School and click on the link.
• Click on Shop Grad Products
• Click on Grad Gear & Apparel (Scroll all the way to the bottom)
• Click on Cap/Gown & Tassel

Complete the information. All of the gowns are shipped to the school in a unit. The complete price will be $40.05 and that includes the taxes and shipping. Gowns will be handed out a few weeks prior to graduation.

You can also order additional items if you like, but the only required items to order are the cap and gown unit. Please call if you have additional questions.

This is a reminder that we are a closed campus. Students CANNOT leave campus during lunch time, unless they are done with their session. If you are a student who has morning classes, but crosses over to the afternoon, YOU CANNOT LEAVE CAMPUS or hang out in your car/parking lot. ca
